Shhh - Be Vawy Quiet

Well, we had a fantastic weekend & the rest of the week has been pretty slow so far. Ryan thought he was starting to get sick so we've both been going to bed early the last couple of nights...an ounce of prevention, ya know? But this morning he woke up with the full blown head crud, achiness & general yuck. So I've been playing nurse today!

I decided that I would make this wonderful cheese-y potato soup for dinner tonight so I waited until about 10 am before I started banging around in the kitchen to put the ingredients into the crock pot. Ryan was finally sleeping so sound & I didn't want to wake him. So I was doing really well at being quiet until I started cutting up the potatoes...it didn't exactly help that the cutting board I was using was glass. Needless to say...someone woke up & said I was being very loud!

So now I'm starting to wonder if this baby is going to be as light of a sleeper as Ryan is. If so then I don't suppose I'll ever be able to do the laundry or clean the house or make dinner again! LOL - doubtful! I woke up a couple of days ago after having the funniest dream about the baby. I had dreamt that the baby was here & he wasn't like other newborns - he didn't want to sleep all the time like most babies. He just wanted to play ALL the time & kick his legs & arms around. Plus, he was really smart - he already knew how to talk - so he would say, "I'm hungry", or "I need a new diaper". Yep, that's our boy! In my dream, the only time we could get him to sleep was while my Grandfather was holding him. For some reason the baby just really liked cuddling up next to him & having a nap!

Well, gotta go turn the fireplace on for Ryan...
